My laptop (dell latitude 7285) screen backlight always gradually rise in brightness to maximum. The manual setting is works fine by the way.
This device only has a intel HD Grapics 615 and no ambient light sensor. In Clear Linux I can’t find any option to disable automatic brightness in gnome. Is there any way to disable this dynamic control ?
Information add: maybe it’s not about an ambient light sensor which not exist.
I found a ALS device in /sys/bus/iio even this laptop doesn’t have this kind of hardware. I disabled its kernal module In modprobe. After reboot that “void” device disappear in filesystem but nothing change with this issue . The brightness still increase. No matter what I do manually with GUI or configuration file.
