Possibly not though given this is an Intel sponsored project and it would seems Google is, at least for now, building it on AMD’s secure enclave technology.
Would be cool to see though, givem the CL focus on security.

Yeah it probably a situation where it could be possible to run CL as a Confidential VM on GCP in theory, though that requires a special build to make it work out the box. So that aspect is probably unlikely to happen.
There’s no credible source AMD ever recommended CL in press meeting.
