Command to build and install kernel Package

Hello,

what are commands to build and install a kernel package on existing clear Linux desktop.

I wanted to build and install kernel version 5.5.7 on my desktop.
Are below urls correct for building clear linux kernel packages ?
Kernel:
https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/linux-5.5.7.tar.xz
Patches:
GitHub - clearlinux-pkgs/linux at 5.5.7-916.

If I follow the instructions in the link above it fails at applying patches.

Edit: If I clone from the git repo and use 4.20.8 the above instructions work.
