How to click "install"?

Hi All,

I am new to Linux and apologize for the dumb question. I am trying to install the server via command line using clr-installer.

I get a window popup with required and advanced options. it has two buttons on the bottom for cancel and install. the instructions list “use tab or arrow keys to navigate”. I can get the Cancel button to highlight but nothing I do gets the install button highlighted. tab just scrolls through the list of options and tabs. Never highlighting the install button.

I feel very dumb asking here but I don’t know any other short cut keys. please let me know what I am missing.

thanks!

Ok I got it. I was missing a mandatory field. after I updated “telemetry” I was able to tab through install

Welcome! Glad you got it figured out

After finding this post , i rechecked and found that i don’t missed Telemetry. Actually , CLI-installer doesn’t tell me at all if missed something (that is necessary or not). Will not tell me if i should use some magic “keys-combination” .It simply behaves as it was broken.GUI-installer at least gives "hack (acknowledgement) " . .It is not “swupd” ,used every day , so it easy to remember. It’s installer , that is used once per os’s instalation. It should be better explained. If a user has to spend precious time on some basic stuff (“why like jumping between buttons doesnt’t work”) , what about real problmes. Definetly not intuitive.

I also can’t click install on the text installer and it’s not obvious how to tab to it.

You must also add a username, make a telemetry choice, and disk choice.

These should be marked with asterisks.
