The Kernel is still using the old partition table

Whenever I run this sudo swupd repair command I always get the same warning. What should I do?

Calling post-update helper scripts
External command: none
External command: Warning: The kernel is still using the old partition table.
External command: The new table will be used at the next reboot or after you
External command: run partprobe(8) or kpartx(8)
External command: The operation has completed successfully.

Repair successful

It only says, “Repair successfully” but its not the case.
I even rebooted my machine to see if I won’t see one of warning as mentioned in 2nd external command. But it didn’t work. What should I do about these warnings?

I think that’s coming from clr-boot-manager. Can you call sudo clr-boot-manager update from a terminal and see if it shows the same output?

@ahkok

> pranav@Exam~ $ sudo clr-boot-manager update
> Warning: The kernel is still using the old partition table.
> The new table will be used at the next reboot or after you
> run partprobe(8) or kpartx(8)
> The operation has completed successfully.

The message is consistent no matter how many times I reboot.

I opened a GitHub issue on this because someone else also reported it in IRC today:
