Battery status not being displayed on taskbar right from the installation

i am using the latest version of clear linux 31530
right from the time i installed clear linux i am not getting the battery status icon .
.I thought i can download some battery status extension from software and it will reappear but no.
i even updated the os but iit is not working .Kind of stuck.
please reply fast
