If you need a browser that support Chrome plugins, Vivaldi works well so far on CL. You have to use their alt installer:

Download: https://downloads.vivaldi.com/snapshot/install-vivaldi.sh
sudo sh install-vivaldi.sh
sudo ln -s /usr/local/share/vivaldi-snapshot/vivaldi-snapshot /bin/vivaldi

I had not heard of Vivaldi. I might give this a try. It looks like a nice alternative.

Try to symlink it to /usr/local/bin instead, to keep it outside of swupd’s domain.
