I want to share how thoroughly satisfied I am with my CL setup. Also, Kernel: 6.10.8-195.xmclear-rt makes the gnome UI response instantaneous. For those who want to compile the clear Linux RT kernel, head to Clearmod
Commands I used:
./fetch-src
LOCALMODCONFIG=1 HZ=1000 ./xm-build clear-rt
./xm-install clear-rt
sync
With the RT kernel, there is a tiny bit more CPU usage, but the instantaneous responsiveness is worth it. The Philips Evnia 8900 5120X1440@144hz monitor works fine and is a treat. I use the TilingShell gnome extension to manage windows with this ultra-ultra-wide screen.
