If you experiment with this error message when you open GNOME Photos apps.

Check if you have installed tracker-miners bundle already installed. If you don’t have it installed, reboot your system. This message will disappear and the app will work.

There were originally concerns about tracker-miners which led to this being an optional bundle. History here

I understand I don’t have performance issues at this moment, but it is better to maintain them separately.
