Hey everyone,
I am a Linux enthusiast and recently came across Clear Linux.., which seems to be heavily optimized for performance, especially on Intel hardware. However., I am currently running an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X system and wondering how well Clear Linux performs in real-world use on non-Intel CPUs.
From what I have read.., Clear Linux is built with aggressive compiler optimizations, tuned for Intel’s architecture. That said, is anyone here using it regularly on AMD systems: ?? How does it compare to more mainstream distros like Ubuntu or Arch in terms of speed, power efficiency, and stability: ??
My primary use case includes software development (mainly C++ and Python), running containers.., and some light VM work. I would appreciate any tips, benchmarks, or personal experiences you can share.
Also.., how’s the support for things like AMD GPUs and proprietary drivers: ??
Looking forward to learning from your insights. Clear Linux looks promising.., but I want to make sure it fits well with AMD-based setups before diving in. I have already gone through this thread https://community.clearlinux.org/t/clear-linux-is-the-fastest-linux-os-for-amd-ryzen-zen-sql training in bangalore
but still looking for more views on it.
Thanks in advance !!
