I updated the system today 12/22/22
(yesterday’s was OK), and I can’t log in using sddm or gdm, or start the xserver using the startx command from the virtual console. Attached is the output from /var/log/Xorg.0.log.
This is affecting Intel and AMD graphics.

Since I updated to 37850, I'm unable to run the Xorg server due to amdgpu driver… failing to load.
The 37810 release affected the NVIDIA proprietary driver.

Moments prior to re-releasing the "nvidia-driver-on-clear-linux" update, I thoug… ht to do a cursory check against the latest Clear Linux 37810 OS. Unfortunately, the NVIDIA modules do not build on 37810. I reverted back to 37800.
Captured on CL 37810:

Same errors for the NVIDIA v520 display driver.

Since version 37810, VMware workstation 17 and Virtualbox 6.x/7.0 kernel modules… failed to compile during modpost with __x86_indirect_thunk undefined error.
37780 is the last version I was able to compile their kernel modules with kernel 6.1.0-1221
Edit: Issue appears to be resolved in CL 37860.
Just updated to CL 37860 and the problem is fixed. Thanks.
Next time, I think I’m going to give it a week before updating to the latest version.
