I compiled plymouth from source (just for fun), however I’m stuck trying to find where the hooks for systemd-boot are. The arch wiki and the README file contained in plymouth’s source say that I should add the plymouth hook to /etc/mkinitcpio, but I can’t find it!
what hooks are you talking about? systemd-boot is a simple bootloader with almost no configuration options - I don’t think we include mkinitcpio either. AFAIK plymouth can be made a regular startup service too. Because it isn’t included in Clear Linux OS, it will be difficult to enable.
