Package Manager Or Software Center

Hello, How can I install other Linux Distribution on ClearLinux?

Does ClearLinux Support Debian packages or Ubuntu packages?

If you explained what you are trying to do. That would help someone answer your question. Which software do you want to install?

Clear Linux has swupd and flatpak preinstalled as package managers. Best option would be to get a bundle from swupd. If that isn’t available, you can install a flatpak off of the flathub repository or you can compile from source.

Just to be complete, no, this is not supported. These are fundamentally incompatible.

I Want Install Android Studio & Flutter & Telegram & Autodesk Maya & Unity & …

Hi @Muhammad_Nouri, welcome to the Clear Linux* Forum!

  • Android Studio binaries are available on the official website.

  • Flutter binaries are available on its website too.

  • Telegram is on the Software app as Flatpak, there is also a command line tutorial for it on Clear Linux* software website or you can download its binaries on the official site.

  • There is already a post about Autodesk Maya on the forum, it may be useful.

  • About Unity, on their download page they specify:

    System requirements

    OS: Windows 7 SP1+, 8, 10, 64-bit versions only; Mac OS X 10.11+.

    but I don’t have much info about this… :slightly_frowning_face:

I can chime in about unity.
They offer a beta release of Unity Hub for Linux. It is an appimage that can be found on their official forum here.
From my experience, the Linux Unity is rather buggy, especially if you are doing anything with the new DOTS system.
