Software is Preventing Firefox From Safely Connecting to This Site

hi all,

Software is Preventing Firefox From Safely Connecting to This Site

duckduckgo.com is most likely a safe site, but a secure connection could not be established. This issue is caused by DigiCert Global Root CA, which is either software on your computer or your network.

I have been receiving the above message when visiting many websites on Firefox 68 on Clearlinux

It only happens in Clearlinux and i have tried a fresh install

Heres some other useful facts:

  • It does not happen in Windows
  • If i install chrome on Clearlinux it does not happen
  • If i open a tab to google.com, another tab to gmail.com and another tab to duckduckgo it will sometimes work on the third tab
  • Setting security.enterprise_roots.enabled to true in settings has not solved the issue
  • Disabling security.certerrors.mitm.auto_enable_enterprise_roots and setting above to true does not solve the issue
  • Using clearcrt generate does not solve the issue

#Firefox on freenode believed it was the system certs in clearlinux, i provided them with the ‘clearcrt list’ but there was no response

Any ideas?

Thanks

Please try to run: sudo clrtrust generate

Example:

$ sudo clrtrust generate
