Wayland session not available after 31030 update

I use Wayland sessions under gnome, to make an external monitor usable with my notebook (ie. because X11 doesn’t support different resolutions with multiple monitors).

After upgrading to Clear Linux version 31030, the Wayland option has disappeared from the gdm login screen.

IIRC, all I originally did to make wayland available was to install devpkg-wayland, and I still have that.

Any suggestions?

I’ve temporarily downgraded to 30970 & disabled autoupdate, which has restored Wayland, but of course would like to get back on to the update track.

Also: should regressions usually be reported, and if so, where?

Please report regressions as an issue in:

Thanks, I’ll drop an issue in.

In the meantime, does anyone here have any idea what might cause the Wayland session to disappear from the gdm menu?

Hmm never mind. I upgraded again (with the intention of starting gnome from a VT rather than the gdm menu), and this time the Wayland menu entry is there.

Odd.

We’ve been preparing to move to the latest version of Gnome. It’s entirely possible that this behaviour could have been a byproduct of that move.
