Could you please share a VMDK that is compatible with Oracle could Ampere ?

for other VPS providers, should I use live server image or Cloud Guest?

isn’t Ampere 64-bit architecture ?

Sure, but Ampere is ARM, not x86. Totally different architecture, totally different instruction set.

Are there any plans to provide Clear Linux on ARM in the near future?

Ampere processors natively support both 32 & 64 bit Android applications and require no binary translation. It was built to make better use of ARM applications like android just to name one. While raspberry pi (ARM) runs a distro of linux, it is not a high core processing device/CPU. You would be looking at 32 cores minimum which, might be a problem with a distro built for intel chips which, Ampere is clearly not.

As a side note, I do believe Oracle will be wiped out by Qiskit and the new quantum systems coming. All distro’s should prepare for it’s coming. Future processors will not be based on processing information which, will be completed by quantum computers before delivery. The processors of the near future will be more based on faster data through put. My opinion as a past MCSE. I see change on the horizon!

there is no short term plan for this – it’s a whole bunch of work and I doubt Intel would put resources on that.
