Automatic Install Without Password Prompt

Hi Clear Linux Forum,

I’d like to create an image that can be installed without being prompted to manually enter a root password on first boot. I attempted to do this by mounting the image, encrypting the password and filling out the root profile in the shadow file, unmounting it back into the image…but it didn’t work. It doesn’t look to me like CL is using the shadow file.

I’m using the clear-35000-kvm-legacy.img image.

Is there a way I can create an image that doesn’t prompt to set a root password on install?

Kind Regards,
Clearly
