Chinese CRS bluetooth 4.0 not working in clear linux any solutions?

The lsusb says cmabridge semiconductor radio hci mode …
How to configure this adapter to work in clear linux

You might need to use usb-modeswitch. Check what people have done to make it work in other Linux distributions as well.

@Sam
Well, I have a Chinese CSR (not CRS) bluetooth 4.0 dongle and it’s working.

What do you see when you run lsusb in shell?
It should be something like:

Bus 001 Device 012: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)

Yes… I have the same one… Lsusb also shows the same… How did you make that work… Which version are you using?

What do you mean by version?
I’m on the latest version of Clear Linux.

Have you done something to make it work… Plz help me its not working for me…the local shops only have these adapters here

It just works out-of-box.
What do you mean by not working?

I mean nothing is showing up… In top panel

It’s also not working in other Linux distro like Ubuntu… But works well on old Linux kernel versions

Can you see anything in Settings?

And I don’t understand what do you mean by nothing is showing up in top panel.
Isn’t that expected?

It’s showing bluetooth is off can’t turn it on

What do you see in the Settings?

What’s the output of

systemctl status bluetooth

The same… Option is turned off

… Shows bluetooth turned off

bluetoothctl power on

And does that turns your bluetooth controller on?

Earlier you said

But I cannot see the CSR dongle in your screenshot. Can you post the output of lsusb here?
