Hello,
On the release 42130, the 'gedit' application was removed:
Removed packages:
gedit 44.2-79
gedit-plugins-gnome 44.1-18
Do we have any explanation for that?
Thanks in advance for your response.
Gedit has been replaced upstream in the gnome stack by gnome-text-editor and gedit has been a tricky thing to maintain for awhile on newer gnome versions so mostly a maintenance related removal.

Thanks William for your quick response, very appreciated!
You could use Flatpak to get a version for Gnome47. Plugins will be harder to find although it does come with many common ones.
