Intel NUC8i7BEH supported by Clear Linux?

Is the Intel NUC8i7BEH supported by Clear Linux?

What are the prerequisites? What the restrictions?

I have a Intel NUC8i7BEH manufactured 17OCT2018 with most recent BIOS, a SATA-SSD and a 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD. On the SATA-SSD is a bootable Fedora 30 (upgraded from 29). On NVMe-SSD is a Fedora 30 Silverblue.

Both installations Fedora are freezing at least once a day or more. Constantly. No more mouse, keyboard and no network anymore. No ping possible. No LED for HD-activity.

So I want to try Clear Linux Desktop? Is this possible?

Yes, CL will run on that model NUC. Give it a try and let us know if you have any issues.

100% working as I’m running Clear Linux on my NUC8i5BEH.

I would recommend getting the latest BIOS updates for these, if you haven’t already.

Very obviously the freezes were caused by SSD(s) from Samsung with old/outdated firmware.

Since upgrading SSD(s) to new firmware no freezes anymore.

Latest BIOS was/is installed.

Just to let you know.

But I’ll stick to Clear Linux. Very interesting and fast.
