I downloaded the build 43500 multiple times and tried to boot it from my USB stick. I’ve failed each time. It’s not the case with other windows or linux images.
What’s happening guys?
Lots of problems all the time
Installing the older version works for me
Where can i find the older versions please?
I checked on versions:43490-43520 (server version too)
CL-live 43480 boots normally
See Bug after upgrade SO to 43500 version release. We’re working on a new build.
Thanks a lot man. It helped a lot!
so I’ve downloaded the iso build 41840 and booted from it. But for reasons unknown to me CL isn’t recognizing/finding my ssd.
I’ve tried advanced installation, reformated my ssd. Still “Warning: No media found for installation!”
By any chance, are you booting from a flash drive made by Ventoy or something similar??
so I’ve downloaded the iso build 41840 ???
Open a terminal and run blkid
. But also 43540 is available now, so start with that.
Ventoy, yes.
I’m booting the iso image using ventoy.
The CL installer has some problem with installation from ventoy. I encountered a similar situation. Write the ISO image to the flash drive directly.
If you write an image directly to the flash drive, we highly recommend that you use the .img instead. The ISO image is created for very specific use cases like iDRAC that only support ISO (and of course Ventoy) and has a tendency to break in unexpected ways.
Where can i find the .img file? Where is it?
you can go to /current
and find the clear-xxxxx-live-desktop.img.xz
Note: i have had success with booting from CL 43470 using an .iso
i have tested 43540 iso and it fails, however img seems to work across the board? ymmv
I’m not familiar with the img file. I’ll try it.
Works well live-desktop.img.xz
