No sound ! Dummy output with NUC10i5FNH

Hello !

I just bought a NUC10i5FNH and installed ClearLinux and I don’t have sounds. In parameters i can see “Dummy sound”. I am a ClearLinux newbie !

Screenshot from 2021-10-20 09-58-39

Note this computer have a HDMI output only and i use a HDMI -VGA/Jack converter. And, on time, sounds was working (I don’t know why) : HDMI sound output was displayed in sound configuration.

There is some information :

What can i do to make sound working or investigate with you ?

Note: I upgraded the BIOS to last version.

I am running Clear Linux on a NUC8i5, On installation I had no sound.
At the Settings app sub Sound, I found an option for headphones or hdmi.
With the hdmi option selected I have restored sound to the system.
It a question how hardware is detected by the OS.
I alternate between CL and Fedora and see a difference in hardware detection.

Hello !

Where can I found this Option ? There is the entire screen of my parameters, i don’t found this option.

There should be a menu under “Peripherique de sortie” by pressing on it.
If not then the sound card is not detected.

After choosing “hdmi” this option is locked in and I don’t see other options

Thanks for this list of answers ! I already try some of them.

Surprisingly, after running the program pavucontrol, HDMI sound card is permanently seen. Sound works fine now.

If sound disappear again, I check again these answers.
