Thinkpad install - fan issue

Hello

I just installed clear linux on a thinkpad e580. Everything works fine except the fan cooling at a high speed. Every 2min it kicks in, even without any load on the the machine.

Doe somebody know how to fix this?
Thanks

clearlinux by default uses the performance CPU governor, favoring performance over coolness. You can either tweak the settings for cooling in the BIOS, or rely on thermal_daemon . Of course, it’s also possible to change the CPU governor through sysfs.
