Unable to load VPN connection editor

Hi there, I tried to add an OpenVPN connection via the gnome network manager.

Under Identity I get the following error “(Error: unable to load VPN connection editor)” I have installed all the bundles (network-basic, NetworkManager-extras) and that include packages required on other Linux distros.

Importing the ovpn config file still requires that I type in a username, and password which I cannot do.

running openvpn in the terminal also does not yield the desired results… I cannot connect to the VPN

I also had this issue. I was able to add my openvpn user name and password by editing them in
advanced network configuration / nm-connection-editor.
