I have the bundle installed, but I have no idea how to get on the stable channel. Unfortunately the beta channel is highly unstable.

I donât know why youâd have the beta version unless youâve set it up yourself. How do I stop using beta version of Firefox? | Firefox Support Forum | Mozilla Support
Maybe see if a swupd repair or uninstall/reinstall would help?

If you open the âAbout Mozilla Firefoxâ window it seems that it will install the beta version

Thanks for chiming in!
Is there any way to get back on the stable channel?
If you open the âAbout Mozilla Firefoxâ window it seems that it will install the beta version
Iâm not sure this is trueâŚ
try uninstalling and reinstalling firefox
your profile will be saved as it is saved under ~/ which is not removed by the system.
another user also reported this.
I have the normal Firefox bundle but when I click the menu and go to âHelp > About Firefoxâ the version number is 99.0b2 although the bundle version is 98.0 now
I did nothing to have the beta
Also when going to âHelp > About Firefoxâ itâs updating itself to a new version when there is one independently of the Clear Linux bundle
Perhaps thatâs how it became beta ?
Well, I just confirmed with engineering that we just ship the Firefox binaries from Firefox. Weâre not changing anything. So if this is behaviour that youâre seeing, itâs either a âfeatureâ of Firefox, or unintentional (or unknowingly) user switching of channels. I donât know if Firefox does any A/B testing for the beta builds, but Iâd have thought the user should be aware if this is happening.

When this issue was posted on May 28th I checked my version and it was not the beta version.
Today June 4th I checked again and now I have the beta version.
Itâs not user switching.

I seem to have gotten back on the stable channel by setting app.update.channel in about:config to release
then waiting for the stable version to catch up to the beta I was on.
