Today my workspace sidebar had disappeared at startup. I could access apps via activities in the upper left corner. What may have happened? Looking for a solution to this.
Update:
As far as I remember, this was an update of Gnome yesterday to version 34, not the latest one. Maybe it is due to this update?
Huh, I didn’t really notice (I’ve got almost always some windows near screen edge, so it disappear anyway), but yup, same for me: today it is not visible, even when none of windows are open.
Thank you very much. Now it looks as usual again. 
If there is anyone else out there who, like me, is completely fresh on Linux / ClearLinux then start with:
sudo su
Login password
Then the commands according to the link.
