As far as i know AES prereq was removed , some time ago:

Just to follow up - AES checks have been removed from the installer. You should be able to install on a non-AES machine now. Disable AES checks. by ahkok · Pull Request #500 · clearlinux/clr-installer · GitHub

We're well into disabling AES as a requirement at this point and have done the n…eeded recompiles. At this point we're needlessly slowing down for little use - AES issues are quickly fixed if found.
