I got my self a new server, and I wanted to install clear linux as os. However when I boot into the installer, it freezes after nvidiafb logs device id.
Computer specs:
Ryzen 5 5600x
DDR4 3200mhz 32GB
MSI A520M-A Pro
WD Blue SN580 250GB
Nvidia GT520 (Only used for os installation)
Using Ventoy by any chance?
Hello, based on what you’re posting and the hardware you have, there are two issues. The most serious one is the AMD processor, and second is the GT520. Personally, I have a GT730 but even after following the guide here, I wasn’t able to make it work, which is why I preferred to remove it.
So I would recommend trying to remove the GT520 and see if it works even with the AMD processor.
P.S. Have you tried running the tool to check the processor compatibility?
I just ran a capability test and it fails in vmx check, although virtualization is enabled, so I believe I should use other distro
