Can't Install clear-36010-live-server.iso in Vmware 16.2

I am trying to install a working VMare 17.2 virtual machine with clear-36010-live-server.iso. It just stalls after ~ 20 seconds and does not display the install clr-linux shell. However
clear-35000-live-server.iso does get to install shell. Tried the clear-36010-live-desktop.iso same results.
The basic setup is as shown.

The windows workstation where the VMware is running resources are shown below:

Device name virtworkstation
Full device name virtworkstation.xxxx.xxx
Processor Intel(R) Core™ i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.9 GB usable)
Device ID 5355E04C-1C02-4E44-87BE-B9AD5DF7764E
Product ID 00330-80841-62789-AA089
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display

Can I attempt to install with the clear-35000-live-server.iso and update my way to what is available in the clear-36010 sever iso? Or is there a setting that will allow the clear-36010 iso to install?

Correction to VMware version it is 16.2 player. I have been able to install with
clear-35000-live-server.iso and apparently upgrade to OS Release

I needed to bump up the hard disk allocation to 64 GB. Apparently there was a lot of resources required to hold the updated parts of the new release. The utilization got up to ~ 40GB or so.

It settled down to what you see below:
