I’ve been wanting to give Clear Linux a try for months, but was hesitant because I’m just a “normal” desktop user and the installer scared me away. Saw Michael @ Phoronix write about the 2.0 installer and decided to give a test drive finally.
Just installed on my XPS 13 9365. That was easy!
Thanks for launching this. Also, I’m with @Junior – prefer the forum approach instead of GitHub.
Pretty awesome to see a forum for this amazing distribution. It was only a few weeks ago on twitter I suggested a forum and its here! Thanks to all that made it happen
Cant wait to see Clear Linux dominate from here on in.
Good day! I am Krish from Coimbatore, India, and I have been playing with Linux right from Kernel 1x and the likes of RH/Slackware etc.
After looking at other operating systems for a bit, got back to Ubuntu on my Laptop which is a Lenovo X1 Yoga 3rd Gen.
Read about Clear Linux Project by Intel and was hoping that this effort by Intel will bring linux drivers to ALL their hardware including 4G WWAN Cards, which are currently not supported.
Would like to do my bit in contributing towards the growth and adoption of this flavour actively.
As an opening shot, I do find that not all intel hardware have linux drivers. My 4G WWAN card is still not supported. I will open a separate thread on this one.
